Project: Arcade Library

Location: Sacramento, California

Significance: Electrical engineering and design for a remodel of a 13,500 square foot library. Design included power distribution, convenience outlets and power to mechanical equipment in remodeled and new areas. Lighting plan included selection of fixtures, fixture schedules and branch circuiting.

Project: Antelope Library

Location: North Highlands, California

Significance: Electrical schematic design of a new 12,000 square foot Library, included design specifications and drawings for a design build project by the city. Design criteria included lighting, power, fire alarm, computer and telephone systems

Project: Arden Library

Location: Sacramento, California

Significance: Electrical engineering and design for an existing building. Design for these comprising of Lighting plans, which included the selection of fixtures, and branch circuiting; a Power plan, which included power distribution, convenience outlets and power to mechanical equipment for remodeled areas; and a Signal plan, which included telephone raceway and outlets for remodeled areas. This was a unique project in that the main research area where book stacks were located the ceilings were very high. The lighting was lowered to stack height. Fixtures utilized were up/down light configuration, which both illuminated the task area stacks and illuminated the space for a very pleasing affect. Both functionally and ascetically. Lighting was suspended to incorporate the high ceiling and bring the light source down to book shelve level.

Project: Bell Coolidge Library

Location: Sacramento, California

Significance: Electrical engineering and design of a new 12,400 square foot Library and Staff Offices. Design included power, lighting, fire alarm and computer systems. The Main Reading Area was designed with linear light sources to enhance the space and the Openness of the high ceilings.

Project: Caruthers Library

Location: Fresno, California

Significance: Electrical engineering and design for a new 12,400 sq ft Library building. Design for this project comprised of site and building Lighting plans, which included the selection of fixtures, and branch circuiting; a Power plan, which included power distribution, convenience outlets and power to mechanical equipment, a Signal plan, which included telephone raceway and outlets, computer raceway and outlets, and the design for a public address system; a Fire Alarm plan, which included the design for the monitoring of the fire sprinkler system and the design of the security system for the building.

Project: Hillsdale Library

Location: San Mateo, California

Significance: Electrical schematic design of a new 7,000 square foot Library, included design specifications and drawings for a design build project by the city. Design criteria included lighting, power, fire alarm, computer and telephone systems.

Project: Davis Library

Location: Davis, California

Significance: Electrical engineering and design for 30,000 square foot library, remodel existing 15,000 square foot building and new 15,000 square foot addition to the Library that included the remodel of the entire building. Design included lighting, power, fire alarm, computer and telephone systems. The lighting design for this project was very unique in that there were high vaulted ceilings over the entire stack areas. Different lighting schemes were used using both recessed and pendant mounted fixtures to enhance the space. Recessed fluorescent were utilized over low stack areas. New linear direct/indirect fixtures were used in vaulted areas. Additional recessed fluorescent fixtures were used to enhance light levels in remote reading areas. The lighting design utilized multiple fixture types to create a very functional & ascetically pleasing atmosphere within the whole library.

Project: Esparto Library

Location: Esparto, California

Significance: Electrical engineering and design of a new 12,000 square foot Library building. Design for this project comprised of site and building Lighting plans, which included the selection of fixtures, and branch circuiting; a Power plan, which included power distribution, convenience outlets and power to mechanical equipment, a Signal plan, which included telephone raceway and outlets,
computer raceway and outlets, and the design for a public address system; a Fire Alarm plan, which included the design for the monitoring of the fire sprinkler system.

Project: Marina Library

Location: San Mateo, California

Significance: Electrical schematic design of a new 6,500 square foot Library, included design specifications and drawings for a design build project by the city. Design criteria included lighting, power, fire alarm, computer and telephone systems.

Project: Sunnyvale Library

Location: Sunnyvale, California

Significance: Electrical engineering and design of an existing 55,000 square foot Library that included the remodel of the entire building. Design included lighting, power, fire alarm, computer and telephone systems. Update to new ADA compliance as required throughout the building. The lighting design for this project was very unique in that there were both vaulted ceilings and low ceilings over stack areas. The different lighting schemes were used using both recessed and pendant mounted fixtures to enhance the space. Recessed fluorescent were utilized over low stack areas. Existing linear up/down fixtures were used in vaulted areas. Additional recessed fluorescent fixtures were used to elevate existing light levels and enhance the reading space. In some reading areas recessed down lights
were utilized to create a more pleasant feel for those areas. The lighting design utilized multiple fixture types to create a very functional & ascetically pleasing atmosphere within the whole library.
